Bryan K. Goodwin, a 26-year-old Black male, was found dead on June 13, 1987, in Columbus, Ohio. His body was discovered by a fisherman approximately 20 feet down an embankment along the west side of Alum Creek Drive, south of Rathmell Road. The body was fully clothed and appeared to have been dumped there sometime within the past 30 days. The cause of death was determined to be a gunshot wound.
Goodwin had been reported missing by Columbus Police Department on June 11, 1987, just two
days before his body was found. The investigation into his death was classified as an unsolved homicide, and the case remains open to this day. The Franklin County Sheriff's Office has been handling the case, and anyone with additional information is encouraged to submit a tip.
