David Slater Jr., a 22-year-old male of White ethnicity, was tragically shot and killed on June 9, 2002, in Columbus, OH. Slater was an Ohio State University senior and was involved in an argument with the suspect or suspects just before he was killed. According to police reports, Slater was sitting in his friend's car when a bullet was fired through the back windshield and struck him in the chest. He was transported to the emergency room but was pronounced dead upon arrival.
