On a cold January day in Detroit, 60-year-old Timothy Perkins, a man known for his kind and non-confrontational nature, was working as a rideshare driver to support his passion for cycling. His life, however, came to a brutal and tragic end on January 21, 2021, when he responded to a ride request that police believe was a setup for a robbery and carjacking. Instead of passengers, he unknowingly picked up two teenagers with violent intentions.
