Dion Dwayne Spraggins, a 21-year-old African-American male from Columbus, Ohio, was tragically found dead on March 24, 2007, in a cornfield off Miller Road near Rockbridge, Ohio. The Hocking County Sheriff's Office received a call from a farmer who, along with his neighbor, discovered Spraggins' partially nude body. An autopsy revealed that Spraggins died from a gunshot wound, and the cause of death was ruled a homicide by the Hocking County Coroner.
