A Friday night shooting in north Long Beach left a man dead and a woman in the hospital.

Police were called to 55th Street and Linden Avenue at 7:45 p.m. Friday, according to the Long Beach Police Department. They found Andre Eugene Spruce Jr., 23, suffering from gunshot wounds to the upper torso. He was taken to the hospital, but died there from his wounds.
