Andre Eugene Spruce Jr., a 23-year-old Black male, was fatally shot on the evening of March 8, 2013, in Long Beach, California. The incident occurred in front of a residence in North Long Beach, near 55th Street and Linden Avenue. Authorities responded to reports of gunfire at approximately 7:45 PM and discovered Spruce suffering from multiple gunshot wounds to the upper torso. Emergency responders transported him to a local hospital, where he was later pronounced dead.
