Taru Lamar Smith Sr., a 36-year-old man from Lorain, tragically died on March 18, 2014, in Wellsville, Ohio. He was fatally shot while driving northbound on Clover Alley just minutes before 6 p.m. According to police reports, someone in another vehicle fired between four and five shots, striking Smith multiple times. Despite his injuries, Smith managed to drive himself to the Wellsville police station, where he was pronounced dead upon arrival.
