Adrian Ruíz Ortiguera, a 19-year-old male of Hispanic ethnicity, tragically died on February 4, 2015, in Hilliard, Ohio. According to reports, Adrian took his own life inside his vehicle at Roger A. Reynolds Municipal Park. The incident prompted a brief lockdown of nearby schools as a precautionary measure. Hilliard police received a report of a suspicious person with a gun, which led them to the scene where they discovered Adrian had died from a self-inflicted gunshot wound to the chest.
