Esak Tilahun Gemeraw, a 21-year-old male of Ethiopian ethnicity, tragically lost his life on March 20, 2015, in Columbus, OH. He was a passenger in a minivan traveling near the Little Caesars Pizza shop at 5611 Chatterton Rd when someone fired shots into the vehicle. Gemeraw was struck by the gunfire and later succumbed to his injuries at Mount Carmel East Hospital. The van's driver managed to drive several blocks to a friend's house to call for help.
