Elijah P. Johnson, a 21-year-old Black male from Cincinnati, OH, tragically lost his life on January 10, 2016. He was killed in a targeted shooting outside an Ameristop convenience store in Mount Healthy, Ohio. Johnson was sitting in a car with two other men when a suspect approached the vehicle and began firing into it. Johnson was pronounced dead at the scene, while his friend Dominique Brooks, 22, was critically injured and later succumbed to his injuries in July 2016.
