Markel Morrison, a 22-year-old African American man from Cincinnati, tragically died on May 27, 2016, in Athens, Ohio. Morrison was found seriously wounded at the River Park on South Green apartments and later succumbed to his injuries. The incident occurred during an attempted burglary and drug-related crime.
