On June 5, 2016, Juan Mitchell Jr, a 24-year-old African American man from Cleveland, OH, was fatally shot outside the Iron City Café on W. 14th Street and Jennings Avenue. Mitchell was exiting the bar with a friend, Tarez Steele, when they were both shot. While Steele survived and required surgery for his injuries, Mitchell tragically died at the scene.

The investigation into Mitchell's death led to the arrest of Michael Riley, also known as "Wilikgan," along with Matthew and Marcus Bur ...
