Jawari Porter, a 25-year-old African American man from Cincinnati, OH, died on August 7, 2016. Porter had a history of mental illness and had been in and out of foster care and mental health treatment facilities. He was known to be homeless at times and had been sleeping in local parks.
On the day of his death, Porter robbed a Kroger store at 1420 Vine Street, holding a knife to a security guard. Shortly after, he attacked a Cincinnati police officer, Anthony Brucato, with the same knife. ...Read More
