On November 25, 2016, 24-year-old Jamel Greene, a male resident of Cleveland, Ohio, was fatally shot while driving on Interstate 90 near Dead Man's Curve. At approximately 4:45 p.m., a Jeep approached Greene's vehicle, and an individual inside opened fire, striking him in the chest. Following the shooting, Greene lost control of his car, crashing into a utility pole on North Marginal Road, adjacent to Burke Lakefront Airport.
He was transported to MetroHealth Medical Center, where he later succumbed to his injuries. A 26-year-old passenger in Greene's car was unharmed during the incident.
The Cuyahoga County Medical Examiner's Office identified the victim as 24-year-old Jamel Greene. Authorities have not released information regarding any arrests or identified suspects in connection with the shooting. In the aftermath of Greene's death, his family and friends mourned the loss of a loving son, father, grandson, and brother. Funeral services were held on December 8, 2016, at Lucas Memorial Chapel in Garfield Heights, Ohio.
