Jaylen Kinney, a 24-year-old man from Hamilton, Ohio, was fatally shot on March 23, 2017, which was his birthday. He was transported to Fort Hamilton Hospital but succumbed to his injuries. The Hamilton Police Department ruled his death a homicide and launched an investigation.

In the course of the investigation, Hamilton detectives identified Marquis Hunter, a 30-year-old man, as the suspect. Hunter was arrested in Atlanta, Georgia, on April 19, 2017, with the assistance of U.S. Marshals ...
