Robert Simms, a 33-year-old male from Hillsboro, OH, tragically died on June 7, 2017. He was working as a contractor on a house renovation project in Fairfax, OH, when he was shot by Jeffrey Eckstein, a 55-year-old man who was also working on the same project. The two men had a dispute, which escalated, leading Eckstein to pull out a firearm and shoot Simms three times in the chest. Despite neighbors rushing to help, Simms was pronounced dead at the scene.
