Dustin S. Woods, a 33-year-old man from Massillon, Ohio, tragically passed away on January 27, 2018. He was born on December 7, 1984, in Orrville, Ohio, and had been a resident of Massillon for four years before his death. Dustin was employed by Owens Corning and enjoyed spending time with his family and friends, camping, and listening to country music and rock and roll.

The circumstances surrounding Dustin's death were determined to be a murder-suicide. The incident occurred following a dispute over rent money. William M. McCullough, a 73-year-old man, shot and killed Dustin before turning the gun on himself after a three-hour standoff with police. The tragic event took place at a rental property, and responding officers found Dustin lying on the ground with a gunshot wound to the head. He was later pronounced dead at a local hospital.

There were no arrests or suspects involved in the case, as it was concluded to be a murder-suicide. No further litigations or investigations were pursued, as the incident was resolved with the death of both individuals involved.

Dustin is survived by his wife, Kristina, and their four children: Jocelyn, Jensen, Brandon, and McKenzie. He also leaves behind his parents, Michael and Julie Woods, as well as his brothers, Michael Woods Jr. and Julius Woods, and many other family members and friends.

The community mourned the loss of Dustin, and a Celebration of Life service was held in his honor on February 3, 2018, at the Zak-Thacker & Monbarren Funeral Home in Dalton, Ohio. The service was attended by many who knew and loved Dustin, and he was remembered fondly for his kind and caring nature.
