Evan Andrew Holcombe, a 19-year-old male, tragically died on May 10, 2018, in Oakwood, Ohio. He was shot in the chest by his 73-year-old grandfather, William R. Miller II, at their shared home. According to a probable cause affidavit, Miller admitted to shooting Holcombe after firing a warning shot into the ceiling. Miller told a dispatcher during a 911 call that he had told Holcombe to leave the house, but Holcombe did not comply.
