David Reid, a 35-year-old Detroit resident, was the victim of a gruesome homicide on June 5, 2012. He was found set on fire in a vacant lot at Hubbell and Fullerton on Detroit’s west side. The incident occurred around 2:45 a.m., when a Detroit police officer, initially responding to what appeared to be a brush fire, discovered Reid's burning body.
