Noah Kinser, an 18-year-old male from Miamisburg, Ohio, tragically lost his life on December 30, 2018. Noah was known for his big heart and infectious smile, and he was deeply loved by his family and friends. He was an avid animal lover, enjoyed spending time with his friends, listening to music, and playing video games. Noah worked at TJ Chumps in Miamisburg and was a dedicated fan of the University of Michigan Wolverines.
Noah's death occurred during a home invasion robbery at his
apartment on North First Street in Miamisburg. Armed individuals entered his apartment with the intent to commit a robbery. During the incident, shots were fired, and Noah was fatally shot. Another victim, a 14-year-old girl, was also shot but survived her injuries.
Following the tragic incident, four individuals were indicted in connection with Noah's death: Chaz Gillilan, Jason Churchill, Dante English, and Daniel Simone. Chaz Gillilan was sentenced to life in prison without the possibility of parole for at least 30 years. Jason Churchill and Daniel Simone each received 11-year sentences for their involvement. Dante English was sentenced to two years in prison for arson and tampering with evidence.
The case involved multiple legal proceedings, including a retrial for Chaz Gillilan, who was convicted again and received the same sentence of 30 years to life. The defense argued that the shooting was in self-defense during a drug deal gone wrong, but the prosecution maintained that the evidence overwhelmingly pointed to Gillilan's guilt.
Noah Kinser's death left a profound impact on his family, friends, and the community of Miamisburg. His memory lives on through the love and support of those who knew him.
