On January 1, 2019, Larry Love, a 36-year-old African American male from Dayton, Ohio, was found deceased in the 2200 block of Hepburn Avenue. Authorities responded to reports of gunfire around 5 a.m. and discovered Love lying in the street, having suffered fatal gunshot wounds. This incident marked Dayton's first homicide of 2019.
