Deon Taylor, a 35-year-old African American man from Euclid, was tragically killed on January 12, 2019, at a Marathon gas station in Cleveland, Ohio. Taylor, who was a coach for the East Cleveland Chiefs football team, was shot at point-blank range while trying to intervene in a fight outside the gas station. Surveillance footage showed the gunman, who had exited the passenger side of an Audi A6, shoot Taylor before fleeing the scene on foot.
