Kimberly Habian, a 61-year-old woman from Conneaut, OH, tragically passed away on March 4, 2019. She was born on September 12, 1957, to Bob and Margaret Peck and had been a longtime resident of the area. Kimberly was known for her love of gardening, caring for animals, volunteering at nursing homes, antiquing, and crafting. Her greatest joy was spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren.
Kimberly's death was determined to be a result of a possible murder-suicide.
She was found in her home in Monroe Township, suffering from multiple stab wounds and gunshot wounds. The suspect, Elias Santos Guerra, aged 60, was also found dead at the scene with a single gunshot wound to the mouth. Authorities believe that Guerra stabbed and shot Kimberly before taking his own life.
The Ashtabula County Sheriff’s Office investigated the incident and concluded it was a murder-suicide. There were no arrests or ongoing litigations related to her death, as the primary suspect was deceased. The case was closed with the determination that Kimberly Habian died as a result of the actions taken by Elias Santos Guerra.
