Natalie Ann Glenn Nutter, a 34-year-old woman from Logan, Ohio, tragically lost her life on December 2, 2019. Natalie was the Regional Manager at Merchants National Bank and an active member of her community, including her involvement with Ebenezer Baptist Church and the Logan Rotary Club. She is survived by her son, Crew A. Nutter, and her family.
The circumstances surrounding Natalie's death were harrowing.
She had filed for divorce from her estranged husband, Kevin Nutter, just a week before her death. Kevin, who had been struggling with alcohol problems and had previously threatened Natalie, abducted her at gunpoint in front of their seven-year-old son. Deputies attempted to intervene but were unable to prevent the tragic outcome. Kevin fatally shot Natalie with a sawed-off shotgun before turning the gun on himself.
The incident was classified as a murder-suicide, and Kevin Nutter was found to have alcohol in his system at the time of the incident. Natalie had previously reported threats from Kevin and had filed an incident report when he violated a protection order. Despite her efforts to seek help, the situation escalated tragically.
The Hocking County Sheriff's Office conducted an investigation into the incident, and Kevin Nutter was charged with violating the protection order before his death. The couple's son is now with family members, and the community continues to mourn the loss of Natalie.
Natalie's death serves as a stark reminder of the dangers of domestic violence and the importance of seeking help and protection in such situations. Her memory lives on through her family, friends, and the Crew Nutter Scholarship Fund, which was established in her honor.
