Jaquiez Grant, a 30-year-old African American man from Cincinnati, OH, tragically lost his life on August 16, 2020. He was one of the victims in a mass shooting that took place in the Over-the-Rhine neighborhood. The incident occurred during a weekend of extreme violence in the city, which saw around 20 people shot in a 24-hour period. The violence broke out in an area along McMicken Street near Moore Street, and Grant was one of at least 10 shooting victims.
