Robin Lynn Snoke, a 74-year-old woman from Lancaster, OH, tragically died on February 20, 2022. She was part of an elderly couple, along with her 78-year-old husband, Clifford Snoke. The couple was found deceased in their home on Nicholas Drive in Pleasant Township, just outside of Lancaster. The incident was determined to be an apparent murder-suicide.
According to the Fairfield County Sheriff's Office, firefighters were called to the residence after a report of a man having fallen. Upon arrival, they discovered Clifford Snoke with what appeared to be a self-inflicted gunshot wound. While attending to Clifford, they found Robin Snoke nearby, who also had sustained a gunshot wound. Robin was pronounced dead at the scene, and Clifford was later pronounced dead at Fairfield Medical Center.
The investigation revealed no prior call history at the residence, and there was no apparent threat to the community. The Fairfield County Sheriff's Office stated that the incident remains under investigation, but there have been no arrests, suspects, or ongoing litigations related to the death of Robin Lynn Snoke.
This tragic event marked the second murder-suicide incident in the county within a few months. The community was deeply affected by the loss, and the sheriff's office urged anyone with information to come forward.
