Jay Smith, a 76-year-old man from Mount Orab, Ohio, tragically died on March 30, 2022, from multiple gunshot wounds to his chest and abdomen. He was found in a camper on his property at 5040 State Route 286. Smith was a veteran of the Marine Corps and was well-regarded by his family and community. His wife, Sylvia Johnson-Smith, described him as a good man who took care of his business and family.
