Robert Adams, a 67-year-old male from Mount Gilead, Ohio, tragically lost his life on June 8, 2022. His death was part of a double homicide that also claimed the life of Linda Fink, 69. The perpetrator, Charles Fink, 64, of Lexington, was later arrested and charged with the murders.
The investigation revealed that Charles Fink had a history of domestic violence and had been charged with domestic violence in October 2021. Linda Fink had filed for divorce from Charles Fink just a month before the murders. On June 5, 2022, deputies responded to a wellness check at the Fink residence and discovered the bodies of Linda Fink and Robert Adams. Charles Fink was arrested shortly after in Carroll County, Kentucky.
In January 2025, Charles Fink pleaded guilty to two counts of aggravated murder and was sentenced to life without the possibility of parole. The case was investigated by Morrow County Detectives Rob Chalfant and James Coulter, and the Morrow County Prosecutor’s Office extended its condolences to the families of the victims.
The tragic incident has left a lasting impact on the community, and the families of Robert Adams and Linda Fink continue to seek justice and closure. The Morrow County Prosecutor’s Office and the Sheriff’s Office have been commended for their diligent work in bringing the case to a resolution.
