Charles Williams III was a 43-year-old Black man from Cleveland, Ohio.
On the evening of Friday, December 30, 2022, his life was cut short by violence. Around 6 p.m., Cleveland police responded to a call about a shooting in the city's Glenville neighborhood. Officers were dispatched to the 11200 block of Parklawn Drive.
When police arrived at the scene, they found Mr. Williams with a gunshot wound to the face. Officials confirmed that he died as a result of his injuries.
The Cuyahoga County Medical Examiner’s Office later formally identified him as the victim.
Cleveland police officials announced that the fatal shooting was being investigated. As of late December 2022, the case remained under investigation, and no arrests had been made. No suspects have been publicly identified, and the homicide of Charles Williams III remains unsolved.
