On December 15, 1986, 18-year-old Army Private Laura Lee Vickery-Clay, an African American woman, was tragically shot to death at Fort Bragg, North Carolina. The investigation into her death revealed that she was one of the victims of Specialist 4th Class Ronald Adrin Gray, a soldier stationed at Fort Bragg.
