Mary Rose, a 40-year-old woman from Mill-springs, NC, tragically died on December 20, 2004. She was a resident of Polk County and was born in McDowell County, NC. Mary Rose's death was part of a murder-suicide incident involving her husband, Gary Rose, who shot her before taking his own life. The couple was found inside their truck near Lake Adger, with both victims having been shot once in the head.
