Jennifer McIntyre Murray, a 39-year-old woman from Wilson, North Carolina, was tragically shot to death on April 18, 2005. Authorities responded to a shooting call around 1:30 a.m. near Canal and Toisnot streets. Upon arrival, they found Jennifer Murray deceased from gunshot wounds. Investigators quickly identified her husband, Tony Davis Murray Sr., also 39 years old, as the primary suspect. The couple had recently separated, and there was a history of domestic violence.
