Laura Renee Triplett, a 34-year-old woman from Wilkes County, North Carolina, tragically lost her life on July 25, 2007. Born on August 7, 1973, in Wilkes County, she was the daughter of Walter Gene Triplett and Ruby Ann Foster Absher. Laura was a homemaker and a contributing artist and writer for a book of folklore about Wilkes County. Her untimely death was the result of a domestic violence incident.
