James Stanley-Dewayne Whisenant, a 42-year-old man from Connelly Springs, NC, tragically died on January 16, 2008. He was born on June 28, 1965, and was a beloved father, grandfather, and brother. James owned and operated J & W Auto in Hickory for several years. His death was a result of a homicide committed by his wife, Diane Melinda Whisenant, who was 35 years old at the time.
