Jammie Shatel Street, a 30-year-old African American woman, was tragically killed on October 7, 2009, in Fuquay-Varina, North Carolina. She was shot at least once while dropping off her children at a care program at St. Augusta Missionary Baptist Church. Street was a mother of three and worked as a school bus driver for Fuquay-Varina High School. Her death occurred in the early hours of the morning, and she was pronounced dead at the scene.
