Abdul Karim Alwarrak, a 47-year-old male of Middle Eastern descent, was tragically found deceased inside his store, Karim's Food Mart, located at 2053 Raleigh Road in Rocky Mount, NC, on the morning of May 19, 2011. The police were alerted to a robbery and an unresponsive man inside the store just before 1 a.m. Upon arrival, they discovered Alwarrak's body and immediately treated the case as a homicide.
