Jasmin "Jazz" Rorie, a 23-year-old male from Eagle Springs, North Carolina, tragically lost his life on May 20, 2012. Rorie was attending a party at a home located at 248 McCoy Lane in Eagle Springs when he was fatally shot around 3 a.m. A friend drove him to a hospital, but unfortunately, he succumbed to his injuries.
The investigation into Rorie's death led to the arrest of Deshawn Lamer Morrison-Junious, a 20-year-old male from Candor, North Carolina.
Morrison-Junious was charged with murder in connection with the shooting. He was apprehended at his mother's home in Richmond County and subsequently placed in the Moore County Detention Center without bond. His first court appearance was scheduled for June 7, 2012.
