Benjamin Shelvin Jr., a 28-year-old African American male, tragically lost his life on April 11, 2013, in Sanford, North Carolina. Benjamin, affectionately known as "Bump," was a resident of Spring Lake, NC. He was shot on Dudley Avenue in Sanford and later succumbed to his injuries at Central Carolina Hospital.
