David Lee Wilkins Jr., a 30-year-old man from Franklinton, NC, was tragically killed on the evening of May 13, 2014. The incident occurred in the area of Church and Hawkins streets, where Wilkins was found lying in the yard of a home with a single gunshot wound. He was pronounced dead at the scene. The Franklinton Police Department launched an investigation into the shooting, seeking clues and urging anyone with information to come forward.
