Hisan Jamonte Polk, a 23-year-old African American male, was tragically shot and killed on October 19, 2014, in Wilmington, North Carolina. The incident occurred late at night in the Houston Moore public housing complex. Wilmington Police Department officers responded to an alert from the ShotSpotter automatic gunfire detection system and found Polk with at least one gunshot wound.
