On February 28, 2015, Ana Marlen Cruz-Franco, a 28-year-old woman of Hispanic ethnicity, was tragically shot and killed in Tarboro, North Carolina. Her death was part of a series of three related shooting incidents that occurred on the same day. The first incident took place at the Master's Touch Barber Shop, where 36-year-old George Lee Dickens Jr. was shot and killed by 40-year-old Ian Sherrod.
