James Jeffery Bradstreet, a 61-year-old white male, was found dead on June 19, 2015, in Chimney Rock, North Carolina. His body was discovered by a fisherman in the Rocky Broad River, with a gunshot wound to the chest. The Rutherford County Sheriff's Office reported that Bradstreet's death appeared to be a suicide, as a handgun was found nearby. However, his family and supporters have raised doubts about this conclusion, suggesting that foul play might have been involved.
