Robert Banks, a 31-year-old Black male, vanished after what looked like an ordinary stop on January 14, 2016—one more late-night trip tied to a small-time deal in Lakeland, Florida. A friend later told investigators he followed Banks to a home on Vousden Lane so Banks could sell K-2, then watched him walk inside and never come back out.
