Kevin Antonio Calderon Rodas, a 7-year-old boy, tragically lost his life on September 5, 2015, in Charlotte, North Carolina. Kevin, who was of Hispanic descent, was attending a children's birthday party at Fieldvale Place when the incident occurred. The children were outside breaking a piñata and gathering candy when gunfire erupted from across the street. Kevin was struck by the bullets and was later pronounced dead at Carolinas Medical Center.
