Marcus Laverne Murchison, a 35-year-old African American male, tragically lost his life on September 23, 2015, in Sanford, North Carolina. The incident occurred at approximately 6:45 p.m. at a residence on Beulah Brown Road. According to reports, Murchison was shot by a 16-year-old suspect named Taveun Dayquan Davis. Murchison succumbed to his injuries early the following day at UNC Hospitals.
