Robert Dale Crampton, a 31-year-old man from Castle Hayne, NC, tragically died on November 2, 2015, from a gunshot wound to the head. His death was the result of a bitter custody dispute with his estranged wife, Jennifer Ann Crampton. The couple had been separated since June 22, 2015, and Jennifer had previously alleged that Robert was abusive towards their autistic 3-year-old son.
