Robert Dale Crampton, a 31-year-old man from Castle Hayne, NC, tragically died on November 2, 2015, from a gunshot wound to the head. unsupervised visitation with their son. Hours later, Jennifer shot Robert in the head at his home on Castle Hayne Road. In a 911 call, Jennifer admitted to shooting Robert and stated, "I wasn’t gonna let him hurt my son anymore". She was arrested and charged with first-degree murder.
Jennifer Crampton, 28 years old at the time, faced legal proceedings and was eventually sentenced to 16.6 to 18.7 years in prison for the killing of Robert Crampton.
