Joshua Richard Gutierrez, a 25-year-old male from Hope Mills, NC, tragically lost his life on November 12, 2015. He was born on March 31, 1990, in Watertown, NY. Joshua was a beloved member of his community, leaving behind his children, Jaidyn Nathaniel Gutierrez, Alice Nichole Fulcher, and Matthew Austin Guillory, as well as his mother, stepfather, siblings, and grandparents.
The circumstances surrounding Joshua's death were harrowing.
He was killed when someone shot into his trailer on the 4900 block of Madison Drive in a mobile home park. During the incident, Keishanna Finch, a 20-year-old female, was also injured. The investigation into Joshua's death revealed that it was not an isolated event. In August 2015, Joshua and Keishanna were victims of a robbery at their home, during which they were assaulted and Keishanna was shot in the leg.
The investigation into Joshua's murder led to the arrest of several suspects. Tyrone Judea Hall III, a 23-year-old male from Fayetteville, was charged with first-degree murder, discharging a weapon in an occupied property causing serious bodily injury, and assault with a dangerous weapon causing serious injury. Hall, along with co-defendants David Rivera and Abraham Devont'a Shuler, had previously been charged with robbery with a dangerous weapon, kidnapping, and conspiracy in connection to the August 2015 incident.
The suspects were apprehended with the help of the U.S. Marshals Service's Violent Fugitive Task Force. Hall was arrested in Baltimore, Maryland, and brought back to Fayetteville. Rivera and Shuler were also charged in connection with the robbery and assault. The investigation into Joshua's murder is ongoing, and authorities continue to seek information from the public to bring justice to Joshua and his family.
