Edward Leon Chamblee Jr., a 43-year-old African American man from Greenville, North Carolina, was tragically shot and killed on December 27, 2015, while working as a security guard at Klub Xplosion in Oak City, Martin County. Chamblee had been hired to provide security for a private after-Christmas party held at the nightclub. During the event, Chamblee had removed several people from the party and was re-entering the nightclub through the front door when multiple shots were fired, striking the ...
