Connie Jean Nealey Simmons, a 60-year-old woman from Fair Bluff, North Carolina, tragically lost her life on April 3, 2016, due to a home invasion. She was fatally shot multiple times in her home on Main Street. The incident occurred early in the morning, and her boyfriend, James Royals, discovered her body later that day. Simmons was shot three times, with bullets passing through kitchen cabinets and one grazing her bedroom door. Despite the violent attack, nothing was stolen from the home.
