Tony Maurice Braswell Jr., a 21-year-old African American male, was tragically found dead on June 17, 2016, in Middlesex, North Carolina. His lifeless body was discovered by a family member in the front yard of their home on West Old Spring Hope Road. Tony had suffered a fatal gunshot wound to his chest. The discovery of his body early that morning left his family and the local community in shock and mourning.
