Tremain Lamont McLaurin, a 39-year-old man from Lumberton, NC, was found dead on December 13, 2016, after a reported shooting. McLaurin was discovered at St. James Circle around 6:30 p.m., when officers responded to reports of shots fired. The Lumberton Police Department launched a homicide investigation and sought the public's help to gather information about the incident.
